A toast for 2008!

Here's to hoping 2008 will be full of great things, in all areas of your life- whether it's work, school, fashion or just pure fun! That it be be better and more fabulous than 2007! Live and make the most of it! Cheers!

And because I just found it, here's a little preview of the excitement which 2008 is sure to bring! I've got for you a trailer for a greatly anticipated Australian film opening March 8 2008! If you're aware of my endless fascination for a certain Australian model, then you'll probably guess which film I'm talking about. If not, well... let me tell you- directed by Elissa Down, starring Toni Collette, Rhys Wakefield and Gemma Ward: it's called The Black Balloon.

There! How could you possibly not be excited? It looks amazing!

What in the world...

Just a side note because this is just amazing. Boring old unemployed me, with absolutely no proper retail experience, have been called in for a group interview at David Jones (one of the two dept stores which dominate Australia. Personally, I see DJs as more of an upper class thing than Myer) this Thursday. A miracle I tell you. A pure miracle. That and my friend's genius CV which I used as a template for my own.

I'm hoping against hope that I'll get the casual SA position that I want- I want that discount!Oh... and it's Christmas, my summer holiday, so I can practically work FT! Here's to more money, because 1. one can never be too rich or too thin and hence 2. I am an absolute casholic:

i-D September 2007

I think Gemma Ward is the most amazing Aussie model export since Elle Macpherson (who, I admit, I don't really care about. Let's just say that she was before my time...), so imagine my reaction when I was looking through i-D's myspace and came across the September cover! I almost squealed when I saw it. She means something to mebecause she drew me into the fashion world like a moth to a flame.

My hands are itching to get a copy...

Gemma's new home

F.A.D. takes us on a tour of Gemma Ward's new co-op on East Sixth Street (East Village). Bought at $1.525M, it's a 1600 ft, 3 bedroom 3 bathroom affair with re-sanded hardwood floors, according to the Observer, and it looks very nice and cosy. But as much as I love this sneak peek of her place, it feels slightly stalkerish/ invasion-of-privacy in my opinion. Guilty as charged.

The location and size of the co-op just upped the "God, I wish I was her" factor.
